The 2018 Rhode Island State Skeet shoot was held on July 27th, 28th and 29th at the club Shooters from Rhode Island who won titles: 12 Gauge: Brad Collins - Champion Jeff Wright - RU 20 Gauge: Jeff Wright - Champion Tom Longolucco - RU 28 Gauge: Tom Longolucco - Champion Brad Collins - RU 410 Bore: Matthew Joe - Champ Tom Longolucco - RU Doubles: Brett Keightley - Champion Gary Eaton - RU HOA: Tom Longolucco - Champion Jeff Wright - RU 65 Shooters Attended. Some of the shooters from NGC also scored well. Gary Eaton won RU in the doubles event with an 88 and SR RU. Ray Stevens shot a 99 in the 12 gauge event which won his class and SR RU. Ray shot a 91 in the 28 gauge and a 369/400 in HOA. Phil Van Couyghem shot a 95 in the 20 gauge which was good for SR RU in that event. There was a perfect score of 400/400 shot by Jacob Mello from Massachusettes to take the HOA.

The 2018 Club Skeet Championship was held on October 14th.
The Spring Skeet League began on April 5th and ran through June 4th. The results are as follows: All Gauges: Adam C. with an average of 21.8 came in first and won money. Ralph M. with an average of 20.3 finished 2nd and Rob M. finished 3rd with an average of 18.6 and won money. .410 Paul Miller won 1st place and money with an average of 23.2 Todd Q came in 2nd with an average of 2 Bud S won some money and came in 3rd with an average of 21 Gene C. finished with an average of 20.7, Bob Eva finished with an average of 17.9 and Ted K finished with an average of 17.2 Congrats Paul for 1st in the 410 and Adam for 1st in 12 ga. Thank you all for your participation and be prepared for the fall league -- we are going to find a way to spice it up some so any ideas are welcome. |
