Due to the Coronavirus the Executive Board is taking the following steps:
Over the past several weeks your e-board has been working diligently to keep our club open during The Covid-19 pandemic. After several discussions last week we decided to stay open on a members only basis. We made provisions to close our clubhouse and warm-up shack during these unprecedented Times of “social distancing.”
This past Saturday the governor placed a “shelter in place order” until a minimum date of 4-13-2020. We have voted as a board to close Narragansett Gun Club during that time.
We will be closed to all shooting including the rifle and pistol ranges during this time frame.
Hopefully the Governor will lift the shelter order on the 13th and we will be back to being open on a members only basis. Once the virus is at a place where social distancing is no longer needed we will open to the public as we were prior to this Corona pandemic. I would like everyone to know this decision was not done in haste and was certainly not taken lightly.
Please respect our decision and refrain from shooting in any manner during these times and more importantly stay safe and healthy.
