T R A P

Narragansett Gun Club has 4 combination trap and skeet fields. The trap committee welcomes all levels of shooters to our game.

We love to see newcomers, and current family members come and enjoy a day of shooting and chatting up with other people who enjoy the same things.

Help for anyone interested in trying trap is always available.

The Narragansett Gun Club currently holds ATA trap shoots and we are a great facility to come and practice. The speed of the targets are checked constantly to make sure they are kept up-to-date and within ATA guidelines. We use a speaker system on all 4 of our trap fields that have a tree line in the background.

Hours:

Sundays 9:00am to 1:00pm

Tuesdays 5:00pm to 8:00pm

If you’re new to Skeet, welcome to our family of shooters! Skeet is a sport for men, women, and youths of all walks of life who believe in safe gun handling, take pride in shooting well, and enjoy shooting with friends and family.

Skeet shooting is a recreational and competitive activity where clay targets are mechanically flung into the air at a high rate of speed from two fixed stations. The participant attempts to break the targets using a shotgun from a variety of angles.

Hours

Thursday: 9:00am to 12pm Noon

Thursday: 5:00pm to 8:00pm

Saturday & Sunday: 9:00am to 12pm Noon

Please Contact Skeet Chairman Todd Quackenbush at tquack14@hotmail.com if you have any questions or concerns or if you would like to join the Skeet Committee.

5 – S T A N D

5-Stand is closed for the winter and will re-open in the spring.

.

Nestled in the club’s private field, the course is an open, inviting and friendly way to spend a day.

We welcome all levels of shooters and encourage beginner shooters to come to the 5 tand to learn the basics.

If you are not familiar with 5 stand, it is a cross between trap, skeet, and sporting clays but it is more action-packed than trap, has more crossing/flying patterns than skeet, and is faster than sporting clays. One similarity is that there are 5 shooting stands, or stations, to shoot from.

Hours

5-Stand is now closed until Spring 2026.

Spring Hours will be Sundays 10:00am to 1:00pm

Wednesdays 3:00pm to Dusk
